MUCC's policy staff is the bridge between citizens and government. MUCC works to protect our outdoor heritage and advocates for the wise and scientific management of fish, wildlife and other natural resources. The organization maintains working relationships with state and federal agencies, legislators, and other key leaders to influence the direction of natural resource issues.

Effective advocacy could not be achieved without the grassroots support of our clubs and individual members. Members are diverse in their interests, yet all share a deep commitment to stewardship of Michigan’s natural resources. MUCC gathers strength from the diversity of our affiliated outdoor clubs and individual members. To keep citizens informed on the outdoor issues they care about, MUCC distributes a bi-monthly e-newsletter, Michigan Out-of-Doors Update and distributes Action Alerts when grassroots effort is required.

Michigan United Conservation Clubs' policy priorities center on five key areas:

Access

Habitat

Protection

Restoration

Outdoors Heritage

Each year, legislative and policy priorities are established in each area supported by policy established at MUCC’s annual convention. Please click here to get involved!
