2013 Conservation Awards: Who’s Your Conservationist of the Year?
Each year Michigan United Conservation Clubs honors individuals and groups that further its mission of “Uniting Citizens to Conserve, Protect and Defend Michigan’s Natural Resources and Outdoor Heritage.”
Please take the time to help us thank those who have advanced the cause of conservation by nominating leaders in our community.
2013 Conservation Award Categories for Nomination:
• Fisheries Conservationist of the Year
•Wildlife Conservationist of the Year
• Educator/ Youth Conservationist of the Year
•Conservation Organization of the Year
•Corporate Conservationist of the Year
All Conservation Award entries must be postmarked by April 15, 2013. Awardees will be recognized at MUCC’s Annual Convention on Saturday, June 22, 2013.
How to nominate for MUCC’s Conservation Awards:
Send a descriptive summary of your nominee’s conservation-oriented accomplishments. Your summary should include:
•The full name, address, phone number and email of yourself and your nominee(s);
• Specifics on the important work your nominee has done to advance conservation, including where work has taken place, when work occurred, thorough description of the work, etc. (two pages maximum);
•If available, supportive information that more thoroughly describes your nominee’s work including magazine articles, books, reports, reviews, etc.; and
•The names of three people who can provide more information on nominee’s conservation work. Applications submitted must make the full case for the nominee’s award to be considered. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
