Michigan United Conservation Clubs has operated summer youth camp programs continuously since 1946. During this time, more than 55,000 youth have learned to enjoy the outdoors safely and have left camp with a deeper appreciation and respect for the natural world they live in. Michigan OUTofDOORS Youth Camp is held throughout the summer at the restored Cedar Lake Outdoor Center near Chelsea, MI. This camp exceeds the sprinkling of nature programming offered by most camps by including conservation and ecology lessons as part of each and every camp offered. During their week at camp, youth will increase their knowledge of ecological concepts and broaden their awareness of conservation issues through hands-on nature experience.

An inquiry based curriculum will allow campers to investigate the natural world around them while gaining new skills and confidence in the outdoors. Campers are kept in small groups to ensure they receive individualized instruction and to keep each camper safe while in our care. Extensively trained staff members work to deliver quality instruction and are held to the highest standards at all times. In a world dominated by technology we at the Michigan OUTofDOORS Youth Camp understand that time in nature is essential to happy and healthy kids. Come join us for a wonderful week inspired by the outdoors and filled with fun and excitement!
