Who is MUCC?

MUCC is the nation’s largest, most successful, statewide conservation organization representing 40,000 conservationists and 200 affiliate clubs. Since 1937, MUCC has worked to “unite citizens to conserve, protect, and enhance Michigan's natural resources
and outdoor heritage.”

Some of the highlights of our work include:

  • Host over 250 campers every summer to encourage the next generation of conservationists.
  • Advocate through a grassroots, member-driven policy process.
  • Inform and educate conservationists with award-winning publications.
  • Lead active habitat management, conservation and improvement with volunteer support.

Why Participate?

Funds raised at the Charity Outing directly benefits the Michigan Out-of-Doors Youth Camp and MUCC’s mission to unite citizens to conserve, protect and enhance Michigan’s natural resources & outdoor heritage. Each summer, 200 campers participate in hands-on activities to develop a passion for conservation and learn new skills in archery, fishing, kayaking and more. To date, Michigan Out-of-Doors Youth Camp has provided a place where more than 58,000 kids have connected with nature—many who become future conservation leaders!
