Join MUCC’s On the Ground (OTG) program in partnership with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources as we plant 100 oak and apple trees in an opening in the Newberry Forest Management Unit in Luce County.
Volunteers are needed on Saturday, June 10 from 10am to 3pm.
This project is a new effort in this location to establish soft and hard mast that will benefit various species of wildlife including white-tailed deer.
Meeting location: Volunteers will meet at the Newberry DNR Customer Service Center around 9:45am to sign-in. We will go over project instructions and then caravan to the work site which is about 15 minutes southeast of the meeting place.
