Wood Duck Nest Box Maintenance and Installation

Join On the Ground in partnership with the Michigan DNR in maintaining and installing wood duck nest boxes at Maple River State Game Area. Volunteers are needed on Saturday, February 18, 2023 from 10am-2pm. Registration is only open to 15 volunteers so sign-up early to save your spot!
Volunteers will meet at the DNR barns on Crapo Road in Ashley, MI at 9:45am to sign-in. All necessary equipment, lunch and a volunteer appreciation gift will be provided.
This project will involve moderate physical activity including walking on ice and through snow, so please wear waterproof boots and warm layers. All ages are welcome to attend.
Meeting location: The DNR Barns are located on Crapo Road, about ⅓ mile south of the intersection with E Ranger Road in Ashley, MI.
