Merry Christmas from the OTG program

With Christmas just five days away, I wanted to take a minute to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and thank you, as volunteers, for the time and energy that you have put into the On The Ground program. It truly takes a generous and dedicated group of individuals to set aside personal time and come out to do physical labor for the sake of conservation.

As many of you know, the office here at Michigan United Conservation Clubs will be closed from December 24 – January 1, with regular business resuming on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 so that we can enjoy time celebrating the holiday season with our loved ones. I hope you are able to take a little bit of time during these few weeks and do the same. This is a short and sweet blog post to let you know how thankful I am not only for this program, but for individuals like you who are to credit for it’s success. Without the DNR Wildlife Biologists, selfless volunteers and enthusiastic teachers and school groups, OTG just simply wouldn’t be possible. I’m so thankful for you, and rest assured that I’m spending a little extra time this holiday season sending up my gratitude for all that you do.

I hope you have a memorable and enjoyable holiday season with your loved ones, and I’ll see you in the field on January 19 at St. Clair State Game Area to get back to work.
