Closing the Gate for the Season
The gate at camp is closed for the winter. We have completed all of our programming and wrapped up pretty much all of the facility work we will be doing in 2018. It was another successful season and I would like to take a minute to say thank you to all of the people who made an impact down at Cedar Lake this year.
Whether you were a club who sponsored a child to come to camp, a parent who trusted us with your child during the summer, a volunteer who helped stain buildings and dig trenches around the property or a rental group who hosted an event with us, THANK You.
You are all part of helping to expand the message of conservation in Michigan and helping to preserve a historic site within our state. We have worked hard together to provide a safe facility and an exciting program to help kids and adults engage with the natural resources around us.
I know I am the one who gets to pull the strings and soak up most of the high fives, but none of those would be possible without the support and belief in our mission and what we do down at camp. So once again thank you to all of our supporters and clubs from around the state.
Thank you very much and we hope to see you all in the spring when camp awakens from its hibernation.
