Camp is fast approaching and we are gearing up for what’s sure to be an awesome summer on the shores of Cedar Lake.  Shaun and I have been spending the last couple of weeks organizing summer camp curriculum, practicing camp songs, and prepping camp for the arrival of the 2014 summer staff.  We are extremely excited to welcome the staff to camp next Monday.

This year’s staff come to us with a wide array of experiences and talents including big and small game hunters, avid fishermen and women, and seasoned trappers.  Some will travel to camp from just outside of Chelsea while others will make a much longer journey from places in the Upper Peninsula.
We are excited to help the staff play, shoot, and fish during next week’s training.  Over the course of the training week, the summer staff will have the opportunity to practice their archery skills on our new 3-D archery course, demonstrate their “J” strokes while paddling in canoes, and even play casting golf while learning about fishing techniques.
By the end of next week, the 2014 summer staff will be primed and ready for their first batch of campers.  We can’t wait to see what this summer has in store.  Be sure to check back for more camp updates throughout the summer season.
